Sunset Sauna Cycle
This tour shows you what this sauna-frenzy nation of Finns is all about! In a magic evening of setting sun we cycle around Eastern side of Helsinki center to such neighborhoods like the hispster home Kallio, Kruununhaka full of Finnish history, and functionally modern Merihaka / Hakaniemi. We learn about sauna and the culture behind it while cycling around the recreational areas and islands close to the center of Helsinki.

About our bicycling services and cycling in Helsinki and Finland:
Bicycling is the most beautiful way to see our city and the nation around. Only in Helsinki we have close to 1000 kilometers of biking lanes so even on our main street Mannerheimintie it is nice and comfortable to bike like at all the wonderful parks where we visit on all our tours! We are also not that known of high hills and the few little rises we have you will champion easily with our comfortable and well maintained new bikes.
We use comfortable 2 speed cruiser bikes on our city tours. These bikes have both back pedal foot brake and one hand brake so you feel free and comfortable to cruise around with us. All of them also have a box or basket in front to put your bag or camera. These Poni bikes are made perfect for sightseeing! On longer tours outside the center of Helsinki we use 3 speed Tunturi bikes or 21 gear hybrid or mountain bikes depending on the nature of the tour. 3 speed Tunturi bikes have one hand brake and back pedal foot brake like Poni bikes. 21 speed models have only hand brakes cause most of them have Shimano gears. Principally all our bikes come from classic Finnish bicycle company Tunturi. Your bicycle is always included in your tour price. But you can also participate with your own bike when you will get 10 euros discount of the tour prices presented on our website. Weather on the coast of Finland changes fast because of the sea. That is why we have always both sun lotion and rain ponchos with us on the tours, and the city tours have 2-3 attractions for a visit inside. We only cancel a tour in case of a fierce storm, very intense heat wave, or some kind of force majeure event that we find in danger for our participants. However, any of these above mentioned are extremely rare for Finland and its weather. In this case advance payments will be nonrefundable, also, if the cancellation happens by the customer within 24 hours prior to the tour the payments are not refundable. Our tours work with reservation in advance and we require confirming online credit card / prepayments via PayPal. When using PayPal the full payment is possible to refund in the case of cancellation when you´re paying for Goods & Services. If you're company you can also pay as SEPA payment / international wire transfer. All our visitors sign waiver of liability form for the sign of secure and professional services. Our company has a liability insurance. Timetable changes and cancellations are accepted up to 24 h prior to the tour without cost. If the timetable change or cancellation would reach us less than 24 h prior to the the tour the payment is not refundable. Public daily tours are available according to our guide availability. We are also happy to design your own customized / hand-tailored private tour. This is the greatest opportunity to enjoy what you want and when you want :) Private tour fees starting from 50 euros surcharge / reservation. This could also be the greatest opportunity to cycle together as a family. Our age limit for public tours is 16 years but we have bikes for even bit younger. The minimum length for public tours is 140 cm / 4´7" For families with younger kids we have excellent walking tour Happy Helsinki Walk that goes from Monday to Friday at 10.30 am (June-August 2016) The price is 20 euros / person and kids 0-11 years old for free :) Ask for our offer and tell more about your family! |

Tunturi 3 speed bikes are used on Green Trail Ride. There are both male and female models. Same thing with 21 gear bikes we use on tours to Porvoo and Lake Tuusula.

Meeting points:Helsinki Highlights by Bikes, Berry-Picking by Bike, Sunset Sauna Cycle and West-Side Arts & Archipelago Cycle have a meeting point is in the very heart of the city at NARINKKA square in Kamppi that is the modern center of Helsinki.
Kamppi is also the biggest downtown shopping center and Narinkka square the home of famous Chapel of Silence We are based exactly other side of the square from the Chapel. When you find black containers with bicycle symbols you find us. The Poni bikes are lined on the side of the container (look at the photos!) The exact street address is NARINKKA 3, HELSINKI Kamppi has excellent connections from all the cruise ship ports and we are also two blocks away from the Main Railway Station where the airport buses and trains arrive. From West Harbour terminal + LMA & LV7 quays comes tram number 9. Get off at Simonkatu stop. There you can already see the wooden structure of Kamppi Chapel. 10 minute tram ride. From Hernesaari berths (LHC & LHB) comes local bus number 14 to Kamppi in 15 minutes. Get off at Kampintori stop when you see McDonalds left. Then walk down on the left side of Kamppi shopping center to Narinkka square. From Katajanokka cruise ship berths and Viking Line terminal take tram 4 to Lasipalatsi stop. And from Olympiaterminaali and Lindaline terminal tram 2 comes to Simonkenttä stop. All distances about 15 min. TRAMS AND LOCAL BUSES HAVE A DISPLAY TELLING YOU THE NAME OF THE STOP.

Katajanokka has tram number 4 connection from the city center. The distance is about 1 kilometer from the Senate Square. The tram stop is also called Vyökatu. When you get off you are going to see big red brick wall of Katajanokka Bestwestern Prison Hotel. Vyökatu street starts at the left corner of the prison hotel wall. Walk up two blocks to find the bikes lined on the side of a park. |
